I’d say that David was like a little brother to me growing up, but now he’s head and shoulders taller than me! I’ve been close with his family since around the sixth grade. I spent many a night there, playing games and hanging out; I’ve traveled with them three times to Oshkosh, Wisconsin, for the EAA AirVenture airshow; and, I will not confirm or deny if any babysitting took place.![]()
I can’t believe David is about to graduate, but look at this guy – he’s so ready to take on the world. I know this will be another huge summer for him as he volunteers at Oshkosh again this year, becomes a new uncle, and heads off to college in the fall.
David and I had a great time meeting at a park in Grand Rapids last October for his senior pictures. He brought his awesome personality, his fantastic sense of humor, and his Rock Band guitar. After, we found some fantastic old earth-movers behind his neighbor’s house and had to use them as well. I love the blue paint, rust and dirt. David was willing to trek all over the park and his neighbor’s land for the perfect shot, and I believe we got quite a few.
A new product I am offering for all of my clients are the Rep Cards – these are small (width of a business card and about two-thirds as tall), two-sided cards in full color. They come with a little metal case (picture coming soon), and you can have as many images on the front as cards you are ordering. They are cheap enough to hand out without discretion as well. I’ve seen these cards used as calling cards with seniors’ name, cell number, and Facebook link on the front – what a great idea for meeting new people at your freshmen orientation in college! I am including them with all of my Senior portrait sessions, branded with my studio name and link and a discount offer for your friends. Anyone who comes to me with one of these cards will receive a special discount on prints or services (they will vary per set!) – and best of all, YOU will receive a kick-back in free prints, future-session discounts, or special gift cards when your friends book a paid session with me. Check out some of David’s rep cards at the bottom of this post.
David – good luck with school next year, all the best with your new nephew, and I hope that Brian and I can join you at Oshkosh again soon.
